Vision Insurance

Individual Vision Insurance is available to individuals and families that are not covered by group or employer-sponsored vision insurance. Occasionally, those without vision insurance, neglect annual checkups and miss the detection of ailing eyes. Routine preventive care or corrective aid can mean a substantial amount of money out of your pocket.

Disability Insurance

Individual Disability Income Protection is a must for a business owner and is recommended for executives. If you are a business owner, you should consider purchasing both group and individual policies. The cost of a plan sponsored by an employer is usually less than the cost you would pay for an individual disability policy and often you can get coverage automatically without having to qualify medically. If your employer doesn’t provide disability insurance then you may want to consider an individual disability policy.

Long-Term Care Insurance

Long-Term Care is the type of care received either at home or in a facility, when someone needs assistance with daily living activities, such as bathing, using the restroom and dressing due to an accident, an illness or advancing age.

Medicare Insurance

The different parts of Medicare help cover specific services.

Critical Illness Or Accident Insurance

Critical illness protection helps provide comfort to individuals who are concerned with the financial liability a serious health event can leave behind and offers multiple coverage options to accommodate almost any budget. This protection helps cover expenses from initial diagnosis through treatment.
Accident insurance helps with the unexpected out-of-pocket costs that can hurt the family budget when accidents happen – like ER visits and hospitalization. In addition, plans offer multiple coverage options to accommodate almost any budget.

Employer (Benefits) Insurance

Group Health Insurance

Owen Financial Services work diligently to stay abreast of current law and regulation regarding employer-sponsored health insurance. Group size is still a factor and currently, Small groups are defined as 1–50 total employees. Large groups are defined as 51 or more employees. The style of a plan is important as well. HMO (Health Maintenance Organization) offers the most cost effective coverage. Members choose a primary care physician (PCP) to coordinate all their medical care. PPO (Preferred Provider Organization) plans allow more freedom of choice in visiting doctors and hospitals by including an out-of-network benefit; however, out-of-pocket costs are lower when members see in-network providers. POS Or POS-C (Point of Service/Point of Service Copayment) offer comprehensive HMO benefits for in-network services and indemnity coverage for out-of-network services. Members determine their coverage at the “point of service,” or when they choose a doctor, clinic or hospital and receive services. Members choose a primary care physician (PCP) to coordinate all their medical care in-network. HSA-Compatible plans work with Health Savings Accounts (HSAs). HSAs combine employee involvement in managing their own health care with tax advantages. They work a bit like IRAs but for health care. Provider Networks are important as everyone has and wants providers or doctors and hospitals they know and trust. More employers are choosing self-funded plans. With self-funded plans, employers retain the risk of paying for their employees’ health care. When employees and their dependents have fewer claims and fewer expensive illnesses, the self-funded employer realizes an immediate positive impact on overall healthcare costs. The employer has greater control over how funds are used and must exercise solid decision making in the benefit management and administration of the plan.

If retirees within the organization qualify for different levels of employer contribution, the employer can establish those levels.

Group Accident Insurance

Nobody plans to be in an accident. But when it happens, Group accident insurance pays certificate-holders directly (unless otherwise assigned).
